GEORGE TOWN: A man suspected to be a motorcycle thief jumped into a 1.5m deep monsoon drain in his haste to escape arrest at a police road block along Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah here.
The man in his 20s managed to flee but left behind his pillion-rider girlfriend who was arrested by the police in the 11pm incident on Tuesday.
