PUTRAJAYA: Manufacturers and importers of toys for children aged 14 and below will have to get their products tested and verified safe for use before they can be sold, starting February next year.
Domestic Trade, Cooperative and Consumerism Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said regulations gazetted at the end of July states that the toys will be issued with safety stamps once laboratory reports were verified by Sirim.
