MUAR: The Prime Mnister said Sunday that it was time to help bumiputra companies that were capable and had the potential to succeed locally and globally instead of just handing out shares that were often sold off immediately for quick money.
Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said that, to date, some RM54bil in shares were allocated to bumiputras but only RM2.4bil still remained in their hands.
