KUALA TERENGGANU: A nephew of a state executive councillor drowned while swimming in a river here yesterday.
Mohamad Uzeir Norman, 11, from Kampung Jeram, Manir, who was the nephew of state Youth and Sports Committee chairman Datuk Abdul Rahin Mohd Said, was with his two brothers and a several friends when the incident occurred near a jetty along Sungai Nerus at around noon.
