Guidelines must not be arbitrary as it affects business, says film director

PETALING JAYA: Filmmakers in Malaysia want a clarification on whether there are new guidelines for films with horror, myth, superstition and false traditional elements which go against religious teachings.

Shuhaimi Baba, director of box office hits Pontianak Harum Sundal Malam 1, Pontianak Harum Sundal Malam and Waris Jari Hantu, said they were unsure what to make of the recent rulings by the authorities.
