KUALA LUMPUR: The MCA Youth is opposed to the suggestion of using hudud laws against snatch thieves, including chopping off their hands. Instead, it proposed stiffer punishment for such a crime than now.
Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs) Senator Mej-Jen (R) Datuk Jamil Khir Baharom had at Thursday’s Parliament sitting suggested the use of Syariah law on snatch thieves in tackling the rampant number of cases.
