PUTRAJAYA: Coastal surveillance by the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) will be further strengthened to prevent entry of undesirable elements especially illegal immigrants, said Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.
He said Malaysia faced numerous problems along the country's coastline now and that more aggresive steps needed to be taken to prevent the situation from being prolonged.
