GEORGE TOWN: The Australian who was admitted to the Penang Hospital for observation for the influenza A (H1N1) virus on Friday has been confirmed free from infection.
State Health, Welfare, Caring Society and Environment Committee chairman Phee Boon Poh said the blood sample of the 29-year-old patient which was sent to the Institute for Medical Research tested negative for the virus.
