Give free masks at airport, says union
PETALING JAYA: The Health Ministry should provide flight personnel and passengers at the KL International Airport with free face masks to exercise the highest degree of hygiene against the influenza A (H1N1) virus. The Malaysia Airlines System Employees’ Union (Maseu) has also proposed that the ministry provide extra immunisation to all flight crew and workers in the KLIA. Maseu executive secretary Mustafar Maarof in a statement yesterday said the protective gear should be supplied to flight personnel when serving in-flight meals and that sanitising gel be introduced on board all aircraft.
