Heritage Trust slams plan to replace funicular trains


GEORGE TOWN: The Penang Heritage Trust (PHT) has hit out at the state government for the RM40mil plan to replace the Penang Hill funicular railway.

President Dr Choong Sim Poey said the destruction of one of Penang’s most famous heritage landmarks and tourist attractions was not only unnecessary but irresponsible.
