MIRI: The Federal Government has not only fulfilled its pledge of giving financial aid to Sarawak to mitigate the damage caused by recent floods, it has given more than RM100mil above the original amount pledged.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, then deputy premier, had on Feb 13 announced that the Federal Government would allocate RM115mil to the state to rebuild infrastructure facilities destroyed by state-wide floods in January.
