PUTRAJAYA: The Government has allocated about RM1bil in subsidy for sugar, flour and bread — all controlled items — for this year, said Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister Datuk Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
This was an increase from the RM370mil last year, and comprised RM720mil for sugar, RM210mil for flour and RM89mil for bread.
