GEORGE TOWN: The Penang Government has frozen operations of three quarries in central Seberang Prai to facilitate its investigations into the under-declaration of royalty by such establishments.
The suspension comes in wake of allegations by national PKR Youth exco member Amizudin Ahmat that two party leaders were working hand-in-glove with several quarries in the state to cover up illegal activities and the subsequent resignation of Penang Deputy Chief Minister I Mohammad Fairus Khairuddin.
