KUCHING: Malaysia is targeting 86% self-sufficiency in rice production next year.
Deputy Agriculture and Agro-based Industries Minister Datuk Rohani Karim said the ministry was allocated RM3bil to implement the National Food Security Policy by increasing rice production.
