PETALING JAYA: Travellers looking for a bargain should look out for the Malaysia Airlines Travel Fair (MATF 2009) on Tuesday where over one million tickets with up to 70% discount are up for grabs.
Among the deals offered are one-way trips to Seoul from RM770, Sydney (RM780) and to London (RM1,400) including those offered by the airline’s travel arm MASholidays.
MAS senior sales general manager Datuk Bernard Francis said the fair would be going “virtual” this year as tickets would be sold via the company’s website, through travel agents or at its ticketing offices across Malaysia and Asean countries.
“We are offering customers the choice of 55 destinations and the chance to travel just seven days after securing their booking,” he said.
The flight tickets are open for sale for those in Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, the Philippines, Indonesia and Vietnam.
MASholidays will also be offering a promotion to those buying packages worth RM1,500 or more in peninsula Malaysia such as a Caltex StarCard worth up to RM400 and a cash rebate of up to RM1,000 towards the purchase of a 42-inch Samsung LCD TV.
During the 10-day fair, MASholidays would also be opening counters at KL Sentral to provide added convenience for custo-mers.
MasterCard holders who purchase air fares or packages using their cards will stand a chance to win three pairs of business class air tickets to London, Melbourne or Shanghai. Winners will be notified by mail within one month after the end of the fair.
