RANTAU PANJANG: The Kelantan Customs Department thwarted an attempt to smuggle contraband worth RM1mil from Thailand yesterday.
In a series of raids, customs personnel seized smuggled cigarettes, Siamese rice, frozen chicken and slippers. The department said six men, aged between 30 and 40, were detained. Unpaid duties on the seized items amounted to RM500,000. — Bernama
