Kurup returned as PBRS chief

KENINGAU: Tan Sri Joseph Kurup was returned unopposed as Parti Bersatu Rakyat Sabah president at its annual delegates meeting.

Datuk Ellron Angin was returned unopposed as deputy president.

Baharuddin Hj Nayan, Datuk Kadoh Agundong and Cyrill Yansalang were elected vice-presidents.

The 264 delegates from 17 divisions also voted for supreme council members yesterday.

Those elected were Francis Yantim, Paiman Galimbu, Dr Florentius Epin Banik, Justin Majiun, Weills Magium, Fatimah Ibrahim, Johori Botohong, Alfian Koroh, Taulani Hj Ismail, Jaiping Minsu and Jailin Lian.

Kurup has been the party’s president since 1994. — Bernama
