KOTA KINABALU: Kemabong state assemblyman Datuk Rubin Balang toppled incumbent Tenom Umno division chief Datuk Rizalman Abdullah on Sunday, ending a protracted tussle in this interior constituency.

Rubin, a former state minister, secured 189 votes against the 133 obtained by Rizalman, a former parliamentary secretary, to win the top post of the division at the meeting that had been postponed twice due to complaints about legal issues.
