From shady trees to mutilated stumps

GEORGE TOWN: What used to be 10 healthy trees, believed to be angsana and mahogany adorning the street alongside the Komtar building, are now just trunks with a few branches sticking out.

The trees at the pedestrian mall area, believed to be about 30 years old, have all been mutilated.
