KUCHING: An expected keen contest for the Sarawak United People's Party (SUPP) women wing's No 1 post fizzled out after one of the contenders, Cheng Yi, refused to accept her election as a central committee member.
Cheng's surprise decision enabled Suzanne Lee to become the new women chief without a fight in the wing's two-tier election on Saturday.
