Kelantan flood claims first victim, a 25-year old

TANAH MERAH: The floods in Kelantan claimed the life of its first victim, Nik Zulkifli Nik Kob, 25, who drowned after falling into the swollen Sungai Sokor in Tanah Merah.

His body was found by a search party, comprising the police, People's Volunteer Corps and villagers, at 10.50am Sunday about 10 metres from where he was believed to have fallen into the river on Saturday, state police chief Datuk Abdul Rahim Hanafi told reporters.
