SANDAKAN: Sabah state assembly Speaker Datuk Juhar Mahiruddin lost his bid to retain his Batu Sapi Umno division chief post in a battle of cousins. In an emotionally charged meeting yesterday, Juhar was defeated by his cousin Sekong assemblyman Datuk Samsuddin Yahya at the reconvened meeting.
Chief Minister Datuk Musa Aman was returned unopposed as Libaran Umno division chief while Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Yahya Hussin retained his Putatan division chief post.
