KUCHING: The state government has warned of a major outbreak next year of the hand, foot and mouth (HFM) disease, which killed more than 30 children in 1997.
State Environment and Public Health Minister Datuk Wong Soon Koh said the state health authorities had intensifed monitoring and surveillance work to check the anticipated major outbreak, which occurs every three years.
