KUANTAN: Two members of the Pahang royal house head the list of award recipients in conjunction with Sultan Pahang Sultan Ahmad Shah’s 78th birthday today.
The Ruler’s third son, Tengku Arif Temenggong Pahang Tengku Fahd Mu’adzam Sultan Ahmad Shah, and sister, Tengku Seri Nila Utama Pahang Tengku Ainon Jamil Sultan Abu Bakar, will receive the Darjah Kerabat Sri Indera Mahkota Pahang Yang Amat Dihormati (DK) II award.
Newly-elected MCA president Datuk Ong Tee Keat and MCA vice-president Datuk Dr Ng Yen Yen are among 23 recipients of the Sri Sultan Ahmad Shah Pahang (SSAP) award that carries the title Datuk Seri.
Among others receiving the award are Tourism Minister Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said, Youth and Sports Minister Datuk Ismail Sabri Yaakob and Deputy Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Ismail Omar.
Also on the list are Anti-Corruption Agency director-general Datuk Seri Ahmad Said Hamdan, Tesco Malaysia advisory board chairman Datuk Mohamed Abid, Asian Football Federation secretary-general Datuk Paul Mony Samuel and TM International Bhd chairman and chief executive officer Datuk Jamaludin Ibrahim.
Pahang state secretary Datuk Muhammad Safian Ismail and Proton Holdings Bhd managing director Datuk Syed Zainal Abidin Syed Mohd Tahir are among 11 recipients of the Sri Indera Mahkota Pahang (SIMP) award that carries the title Datuk.
State financial officer Datuk Norzan Ahmad will receive the Darjah Sultan Ahmad Shah Pahang (DSAP) that also carries the title Datuk at the investiture ceremony today
Among others receiving the award are Pahang police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Robiah Abdul Ghani, state health director Datuk Dr Rosnah Ismail, ING president and CEO Dr Nirmala Menon and AirAsia deputy group CEO Datuk Kamarudin Meranun.
Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department S.K. Devamany will receive the Darjah Indera Mahkota Pahang (DIMP) award that also carries the title Datuk along with first-term state executive councillors Shafik Fauzan Sharif and Mohd Sahfri Abdul Aziz.
Other elected representatives receiving the award are Muar MP Razali Ibrahim, Semambu assemblyman Pang Tsu Ming, Ketari assemblyman Dr Ng Keong Chye and Chini assemblyman Abu Bakar Harun.
Also receiving the DIMP are ACA deputy director-general Datuk Abu Kassim Moham-med, Sarawak police management chief Senior Asst Comm (II) A. Thaiveegan, Sarawak General Operations Force commander SAC Law Hong Soon, DRB Hicom Group executive director Mohd Redza Shah Abdul Wahid and Eu Yan Sang Sdn Bhd chairman Anne Leong Kwei Chun.
Twenty-six people will be awarded the Setia Ahmad Shah Pahang (SAP) and 65 will receive the Setia Mahkota Pahang (SMP).
The Ahli Ahmad Shah Pahang (AAP) has 79 recipients and the Ahli Mahkota Pahang (AMP) has 129 recipients, while 100 people will receive the Pingat Khidmat Cemerlang (PKC).
There are 111 recipients for the Pingat Kelakuan Terpuji (PKT) and 361 for the Pingat Jasa Kebaktian (PJK).
