THE Public Accounts Committee (PAC) has proposed a complete revamp in the way the Immigration Department approaches the issue of illegal immigrants and suggested that the biometric system be expanded to all border points.
Committee chairman Datuk Seri Azmi Khalid said it was necessary for Immigration to “put on a new hat” when dealing with illegal immigrants as their presence had detrimental effects.
