NEW YORK: Malaysia censured the global community for ignoring signs of a food and fuel crisis three decades ago, saying the United Nations must now resolve problems in volatile regions which are the world’s largest oil producers.
“We are in a situation of unprecedented crisis,” Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Dr Rais Yatim said, but disagreed that it was a “silent tsunami” as some had called it.
