Anwar hits out at Koh’s desperate act

BUKIT MERTAJAM: Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has hit back at former Penang chief minister Tan Sri Dr Koh Tsu Koon for claiming he intervened in a share purchase deal of a state-owned company. He said the acting Gerakan president was desperate, thinking the attack could “salvage Gerakan”.

“As a Chinese leader who has lost support from the Chinese, he is now trying to appease his Umno chieftains. He is trying to kowtow to the Umno leaders and help them in the by-election,” he said in Pekan Penanti.
