PPP: All Barisan components should merge to form one party

KOTA BARU: The People's Progressive Party (PPP) is again urging Barisan Nasional component parties to merge into a single entity to mark the change in the country’s political landscape and the recent emergence of a two-party political system.

PPP president Datuk M. Kayveas said the proposal by PAS spiritual leader Datuk Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat that PAS and Umno be dissolved made sense, but it needed to be extended to all Barisan components.
