SHAH ALAM: Members of the public have been advised to stay away from the Sunday rally being planned by the Coalition Against Inflation (Protes) to protest the recent fuel price hike as no permit has been sought for it and it is therefore illegal.

State police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Khalid Abu Bakar said until now none of the organisers of the rally have applied for a permit for the rally being planned at the Padang Timur in Petaling Jaya.
