KUALA LUMPUR: The Cabinet has instructed Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) to start negotiations with the Independent Power Producers (IPP) to find ways to help ease the burden of consumers as a result of the new electricity tariffs announced on Wednesday.
TNB chief executive officer Datuk Seri Che Khalib Mohamad Noh, who hoped to meet the IPPs as soon as possible, said their representatives were willing to discuss the issue to find the best solution for consumers.
