Tzu-Chi members racing against time in Myanmar and China

KUALA LUMPUR: Volunteers of the Buddhist Tzu-Chi Merit Society Malaysia are racing against time to arrange more relief teams and basic essentials for cyclone victims in Myanmar and earthquake victims in China.

A nine-member Tzu-Chi team managed to disburse dhall, cooking oil, insect repellent, water, rice, salt, instant noodles and other items to 967 victims of Cyclone Nargis in Nganeoyeik, about 30 minutes by car from Yangon last Thursday.
