MIRI: The freak storm that uprooted giant trees, blew off rooftops, bent metal signboards and left a trail of destruction in its path in northern Sarawak was caused by the "tail" of typhoon Ramasun that raged near the Philippines.
The Sarawak Meteorological Department on Wednesday said this tail-end of the typhoon is expected to linger around in the northern Borneo region, especially Miri and Limbang, until Saturday.
