THE Anti-Corruption Agency (ACA) or the proposed Malaysian Commission on Anti-Corruption (MCAC) cannot be placed under the direct supervision of Parliament, Minister in the Prime Ministers Department Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz said.
He said the suggestion contravened the spirit of the Constitution and could set a dangerous precedent because there wouldnt be any clear separation of duties between different agencies involved in investigating, pressing charges and conducting trials.
