JOHOR BARU: Kulai MP Datuk Seri Ong Ka Ting has pledged to devote his full attention to ensure that the constituency is not left out of the impending development under the Iskandar Malaysia project.

He said he would meet the authorities involved in the project as well as Johor Mentri Besar and relevant ministers.

“The Kulai area has a lot of potential to be developed further to lure investors and create more jobs,” he said in his speech during a meet-the-people session in Felda Bukit Batu.

Ong said MCA representatives in Kulai were working with other Barisan Nasional component party members to ensure the welfare of the people were taken care of.

“Cooperation among elected state assemblymen is also important in serving the people.

“MCA members in Senai are also working hard in helping the people even though we lost there,” he said, adding that MCA’s services were not restricted to any state consituency.

Meanwhile, in a special message in conjunction with the coming Mother's Day celebration, Ong urged everyone to appreciate sacrifices made by all mothers.

He also hoped that all mothers would have the strength to face any obstacles in life.

“Mothers are the pillars of strength who ensure the happiness of families,” he added.
