PUTRAJAYA: Ninety lawyers have been roped in as Assistant Public Prosecutors (APPs) to assist Deputy Public Prosecutors (DPPs) to expedite the handling of cases in the lower courts.
Attorney-General Tan Sri Abdul Gani Patail said the APPs, who are on a one-year contract, would also advise police officers in districts when investigating cases or trying cases at the magistrate's or Sessions courts.
