Sarawak and Sabah MPs to lead Backbenchers Club

KUALA LUMPUR: An MP each from Sarawak and Sabah have created history after they became the first MPs from outside the peninsula to be elected by their peers as the Barisan Nasional Backbenchers Club chairman and deputy chairman respectively.

Bintulu MP Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing, the Sarawak Progressive Democratic Party treasurer-general, also made history as the first Chinese BBC chairman. His deputy is Kinabatangan MP Datuk Bung Mokhtar Radin.
