SINGAPORE: The transition of power from Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi to his deputy later on will not affect projects under Iskandar Malaysia.
Johor Mentri Besar Datuk Abdul Ghani Othman said Iskandar was strong enough to withstand political changes as it had received consistent investments since its launch.
“We have already received RM33bil out of our targeted RM47bil,” he said.
Abdul Ghani said that a prominent family from Saudi Arabia had visited Iskandar in the morning and had expressed interest to invest in the project.
Abdul Ghani was speaking to the press during his visit to the Iskandar booth at the Cityspace Exhibition 2008 held at Suntec City convention centre in Singapore.
