KUALA LUMPUR: A Sessions Court here convicted a businessman, who pretended to be an assistant to Deputy Home minister Datuk Zainal Abidin Zin, to two counts of bribery.
Nazli Dain, 43, is said to have accepted a bribe of RM10,000 from furniture factory owner Sim Chong Chaw as an inducement for officers from Home Ministry and Immigration department to reduce the compound for Sim and five foreign workers, to free his (Sim) five workers from immigration department's detention and to get working permits for them.
