JOHOR BARU: Police arrested a man, in his 20s, after he rammed a patrol car using a stolen vehicle that had several live bullets, a saw, two walkie-talkies, and car keys used for stealing vehicles.

Johor Baru (South) OCPD Asst Comm Zainuddin Yaakob said that two patrol cars spotted the car being driven suspiciously in Taman Damansara Alif at about 6.30am yesterday.

When ordered to stop, the man sped off.

The police chased him into Taman Perling and cornered him at a dead end. He reversed his car into one of the patrol cars and was unable to escape, he said.

ACP Zainuddin said the car was earlier reported stolen from a house in Taman Ungku Tun Aminah.

“The suspect may be part of a car theft syndicate,” he said.
