PETALING JAYA: Take your umbrella with your MyKad when you go out to vote tomorrow as it looks all set to be a rainy afternoon.

Meteorological Services Department weather forecast centre director Low Kong Chiew said scattered thunderstorms were expected in most parts of the peninsula in the late afternoon.

This was especially so in the east coast, Perlis, Kedah, Penang, Perak, Klang Valley, Malacca, Negri Sembilan and southern and central Johor.

The weather is expected to remain fair in Kelantan and Terengganu.

In Sabah, isolated rain and thunderstorms are expected in the west coast, Kudat, Sandakan and the interior.

In Sarawak, isolated rain and thunderstorms were expected over all divisions.

The latest information on the weather forecast can be found at www.met.gov.my.
