Gobind Singh to contest in Puchong

PETALING JAYA: DAP chairman Karpal Singh’s son Gobind Singh Deo is contesting the Puchong state seat.

Gobind Singh, 35, had earlier been speculated to be contesting in various parliamentary and state seats.

The DAP will also be contesting four parliamentary seats and 15 state seats in Selangor and five parliamentary seats in the Federal Territory.

The party’s candidates list was jointly released by party deputy chairman Dr Tan Seng Giaw and Selangor DAP chief Ean Yong Hian Wah here yesterday.

M. Manoharan, one of the Hindraf leaders currently detained under Internal Security Act, will contest Kota Alam Shah.

Teresa Kok will defend her Seputeh parliamentary seat and also contest the Kinrara state seat.

Party central committee member Ronnie Liu will contest in Pandamaran while Tony Pua, economic advisor to party secretary-general Lim Guan Eng, will be fielded in Petaling Jaya Utara.
