KUALA LUMPUR: Visitors to the Malaysia Airlines Travel Fair can have their pick of attractive and value-for-money packages from 513 travel agencies and 203 other participants such as hotels, resorts, banks and state tourism bodies.
The fair will be held simultaneously at eight locations Kuala Lumpur, Johor Baru, Kuala Terengganu, Penang, Kota Kinabalu, Kuching, Sibu and Miri on Feb 22-24.
On offer will be six million seats valid for a seven-month travel period from March 1 to Sept 30, to encourage travellers to plan their trip and to experience the national airlines Malaysian Hospitality.
MAS regional general manager (Malaysia/Asean) Salleh Tabrani said this at a press conference here yesterday.
Sri Sutra Travel managing director Syed Mohd Razif Al Yahya said his agency would be introducing sports-themed travel packages in conjunction with Euro 2008 and the English Premier League.
Mayflower general manager Chin Ten Hoy said his agency would offer more US travel packages now that the ringgit was strengthening against the greenback.
G.S. Travel and Tours Sdn Bhd is offering more than 35 travel packages, mostly to India.
