Johor DAP leader quits over shoplot purchase

MUAR: A DAP leader has resigned from the party following issues involving Muar DAP’s purchase of a RM300,000 shoplot in Taman Sakeh. 

Lim Sey Wee, 43, the Muar DAP service centre legal advisor, treasurer and Johor DAP committee member, made the announcement yesterday. 

Speaking to reporters, he said he regretted that some members resorted to taking such action. The case will be heard in the Sessions Court here soon. 

He said he had no choice but to leave but would continue to support the party. 

Lim, a lawyer, joined the DAP 15 years ago. He is rumoured to be fielded in the Bakri parliamentary seat in the coming general election.
