ALOR STAR: Twenty controlled items will be barred from being taken out of the country from this month in a move to check the outflow of subsidised goods.
Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister Datuk Seri Shafie Apdal said items that would no longer be allowed to be taken out of Malaysia include sugar, condensed milk, rice, cement, and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG).
