IPOH: It may be a year of abundant wealth from his harvest of lotus roots for the Chinese New Year, but farmer Liew Kai is concerned that this year could be his last in the business.
“I have been planting lin ngau (lotus roots) here for over 20 years but I have received an eviction notice,” he said when met at the lotus root pond in Kampung Chepor, near here.
