SHAH ALAM: The mobile phone number registered under the name of C/Insp Azilah Hadri’s girlfriend was used in Puncak Alam – the area where Altantuya Shaariibuu was blown to bits – the night the Mongolian woman disappeared last year.

Mohd Firdaous Mohd Omar, an executive at Celcom’s special projects and investigations division, said according to the telco’s records, the “019” number (which had been registered under Norazila Baharuddin since April 15 last year) was used to answer a 20-second call at that location on Oct 19.

The number, he said, was used at 10.43pm to answer the call from a “012” number that had been used by L/Kpl Rohaniza Roslan, whom C/Insp Azilah had been seeing at that time.

“The location for the receiver of this call was at Puncak Alam, in the central region, and it was through the Kepong switch,” the 61st prosecution witness said on Day 69 of the Altantuya murder trial.

(Previously, L/Kpl Rohaniza had testified that C/Insp Azilah was using the “019” number at that time.

CyberSecurity Malaysia digital forensic department head Aswami Fadillah Mohd Ariffin in his testimony also said police had informed him about this when he was handed several cell phones and SIM cards for analysis.)

Mohd Firdaous, 30, said the “019” number received an SMS from an unknown number at 11.16pm on the same night in Puncak Alam.

Apart from that, he said the “019” number was used to call L/Kpl Rohaniza at 11.28pm for a minute.

This time, the location of the caller was in Puncak Perdana.

Mohd Firdaous said L/Kpl Rohaniza had also called the “019” number for 104 seconds at 11.48pm.
