KUALA LUMPUR: The indigenous groups from Sabah and Sarawak and the Malays living in the east coast are among the poorest people in the country.
United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) resident representative Dr Richard Leete said the indigenous groups, who are also bumiputras, and Malays in Kelantan and Terengganu were the poorest.
