MERSING: The glitter of gold on the beaches of Seri Pantai has drawn goldsmiths from as far as Terengganu who come to buy the precious metal in the evenings once the labour of panning for gold is over for the day.
They can be found sitting under the shady branches of trees, on comfortable mats, watching carefully as the gold prospectors swelter under the hot sun, swishing pans of sand and clay.
