PETALING JAYA: A damaged pipe at the Jalan Universiti interchange caused water supply to run low – or dry up – in over 40 housing areas here and Kuala Lumpur, affecting about 500,000 consumers.

The 1.8m diameter pipe was damaged by heavy machinery operating under the flyover, where a roundabout once stood.
