Ashaari’s wife in Syariah court

PENANG: Forty-five people, including the wife of the banned Al-Arqam movement's former leader Ashaari Muhammad, were brought to the Syariah Court yesterday in connection with various religious offences. 

Besides Hatijah Aam, 53, there were 21 women, 20 men, two girls aged 15 and 18, and a 17-year-old boy. One of them is believed to be a lecturer.
